1. About Dalian University of Technology and School of Foreign Languages
Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is a national key university directly administrated by the Ministry of Education of China and sponsored by Project 211 and Project 985. In September 2017, after approval by the State Council, DUT was selected into the university of the “Double First-Class” Initiative, category A.
School of Foreign Languages was founded in the early days of the University as Russian Teaching and Research Group. In 1985, the Department of English was established and in 2001, the Department of Japanese. In the same year, the School began to offer master programme in Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics; in 2003 master programme in English Language and Literature; and in 2010 master programme in Foreign languages and Literature and master programme in Translation and Interpreting (MTI). In 2012, the Department of Translation and Interpreting was established and in 2013, the Department of Russian Language and Business Translation (Panjin Campus). At present, undergraduate programmes in English Language, Japanese Language and English Translation are National First-class Programmes, and Russian Language and Business English, Provincial First-class Programmes. The School is top 20% in ARWU’s China Academic Subject Ranking.
The School has 133 full-time faculty, including 20 professors and 71 associate professors, one State Council Special Allowance Expert, 1grantee of Liaoning Revitalisation Programme, 1 recipient of the Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Award and two Outstanding Teacher of Liaoning. The School consists of Department of English Language, Department of Japanese Language, Department of Russian Language, Department of Translation and Interpreting, Department of Business English, College English Sectionand Postgraduate Section as well as research facilities including Liaoning Public Culture Research Base,Institute for Japanese Studies, Contemporary Discourse Research Center, Center for Translation and Intercultural Communication Studies on Chinese Classics, Institute for Theoretical Linguistics, Institute for Literature andPhilosophical Studies, Center for Language and Cognitive Science Research. The School was awarded “Innovative Practice Base for Cultivating High-Level International Talents" by the Ministry of Education, and is home to Foreign Language Practice Centre and Foreign Language Examination Centre and the peer-reviewed journal "Foreign Language Education & Research".

A. Post-doctoral Research Fellow
Job requirements
(1) The successful candidate will be expected to have a relevant PhD degree (received within 3 years); a solid research foundation and strong research capability; academic prudence and team spirit.

Remunerations and Benefits
250,000-300,000 Yuan RMB (about $34,000-$41,000) pre-tax annual salary (not including research bonus and team performance bonus), on a 3-year contract.

Salary and Start-up package
(1) 300,000. Yuan RMB (about $41,700) pre-tax annual salary (not including academic bonus)
(2)300,000 Yuan RMB (about $41,700) of housing allowance (tax-exempt, including Dalian housing allowance from the government).
(3) 50,000 Yuan RMB (about $7,000) start-up funding.

C. Associate Professor
Job requirements

Salary and Start-up package
(1) 450,000 Yuan RMB (about $62,000) pre-tax annual salary (not including academic bonus).
(2)700,000 Yuan RMB (about $97,000) of housing allowance (tax-exempt, including Dalian housing allowance from the government).
(3) 400,000 Yuan RMB (about $55,600) start-up funding.
